RE:RE:Hello
Hello, teacher trevor.
Always thank you for your work.

(This is my explanation for extenuating circumstance potentially affecting my application.)
In KSA, I could take
several first-year university courses at KAIST that would officially transfer
to my university transcript later. In the transcript, you can see several
subjects under ‘credits transferred’, and those courses are what I transferred
from KSA. I took 'Calculus 2' (College Calculus) when I was a high school
freshman, and took 'Calculus 3' (Vector Calculus) when I was a high school
sophomore. I should take those math courses with ordinary KAIST students during
summer vacation. Thus, please consider the circumstances that when I got B+ on
'Calculus 2', I was only the freshman in high school and I had to compete with
the most excellent college students in Korea. Furthermore, I also had to
participate in my research program at the same time. However, I understood all
concepts and theories without great difficulty. And I have received many A+'s
in many mathematics courses including 'Analysis 1' (A+; more advanced course
than Calculus 2).

(2)I want to use an expression 'the lens of truth' or 'the eyes of truth' to describe the tools or ability to find[detect] hidden facts or truth of the world. Are those invalid expression? Do people normally not use those expression? Could you please suggest any other idioms or figurative expressions?
I would suggest using an expression such as 'the eyes of impartiality' means what you find whether hidden or not, will be used without impartiality or bias.

When we realized where we were, we were already deep in dark labyrinth. From that time on, I and my family had to go through the labyrinth of twisting lanes only staring at an indistinct light in the distance. The light was obscured by a thick veil of haze therefore we hardly could see it.

It taught me that even though I could not afford to help other people materially with money, there was still something valuable that I could do for others.

During my individual research, I enjoyed reading papers on a wide range of topics from Prof. Samuel Kou. His insight and broad interests on statistics attracted me. There is Prof. Stephen Blyth who has had a big impact on my life. His academic articles as well as his career in the HMC really impressed me.

Thanks.
