RE:RE:Studying at home or at schools in the future.
It is often said that students should choose to study at home by means of cutting-edge technology rather tahn to study at traditional schools in the future. In my opinion, It is a way of thinking that does not reflect the meaning of true education. When it comes to the statement that it is better option for students to study at education institutions rather than to study at home, I strongly agree. The reasons for this are that students receive more individualized attention at traditional schools and schools offer both an academic and social structure for students to participate in.
To start with, students interact with people in school directly. This is to say, face-to-face communication is available in real schools. Students can share opinion with teachers or their classmates. Students can ask teachers and receive answers from teacher almost immediately. By doing this, teachers are easily ale to figure out students’ status, while study using technology at home such as the Internet education make it difficult to estimate students’ understanding. Let me take my personal experience as an example. I have taken the Internet lecture several times. As for me, the Internet lecture was easy to lose my concentration, and there were several times that I even dozed off. Also, I was not able to ask question when I faced problems. Studying at home by means of technology is inefficient on that account.
Another reason is that schools are where multidimensional education is done. In other words, students are able to have a diversity of experience in schools as the background. Much of learning occurs both within and beyond the classroom setting. Communicating with member of schools is also a way of learning. Moreover, there exist a variety of activities for students such as playing with peers, school student board election and extracurricular activities. From time to time, teachers give their advice to students and share their own life experience with students. It is scarcely thought that these are able to be implemented on the Internet or computers. Hence, learning is not confined on the desk but also is done all the places.
To conclude, Schools allow students to communicate with members of school in person and to learn socialization as well as academic work. All things considered, I believe that it is the better way of education for students to study at real schools than study at home by using technology.
